Terms of Service
Last updated 13 October 2026
The agreement between you and Plootra: what the service is, what it is not, and what each of us can expect from the other.
1. This agreement
These terms are between you and [Operator name] (“Plootra”, “we”), who runs the service at plootra.com. By creating an account or using Plootra you agree to them, and to the handling of your information described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Who can use Plootra
You must be at least 18 years old. An account is for one person; don't share it. You may track portfolios you own, or that you look after with their owner's permission.
3. Your account
You sign in with your Google account. Plootra never sees your Google password, so keeping that account secure keeps yours secure. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
4. Plans and payment
- Free costs nothing and has the limits shown on the plans page.
- Paid plans show their price before you pay. They are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew until you cancel. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you paid for.
- Moving to a smaller plan never deletes anything. Portfolios beyond its limit are kept, locked, until you move up again.
- If a price changes, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal.
5. What Plootra is not
Plootra measures and explains what you hold. It is not investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. It is not a broker: it never holds your money, connects to your broker or places trades. It does not know your wider finances, goals or tolerance for loss, and nothing in it takes them into account or says whether anything suits you. Your investment decisions, and their results, are yours.
6. Figures, data and AI
- Prices, news and company data come from third parties. They can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and are for information, not for timing trades.
- Your figures are calculated from what you enter or import. They are only as right as those entries, so check an import against your broker's statement.
- Cost basis and realised gains match sales to purchases first in, first out. Your broker or tax authority may use another method, so don't use them for a tax return.
- Risk measures are estimates drawn from history. They are not forecasts, and losses can be larger.
- Margin figures are an indication only. The safe margin, and the leverage and headroom shown with it, are hypothetical estimates built on an estimated tail loss and on a maintenance requirement you choose. They are not advice, and not a statement of what you can or should borrow. Your broker sets its own requirements, which can differ significantly from the ones used here, vary from one holding to another, and change at any time, including without notice when markets fall. Managing your margin is your own responsibility: what you borrow, the collateral behind it, and meeting any margin call, which can force the sale of your holdings at a loss. Check your broker's actual requirements and your account before you borrow.
- Research answers, the market briefing and anything else marked as written by AI come from AI models. They can be wrong, out of date or incomplete, even where they cite a source. Check them against their sources, and the filings themselves, before relying on them.
- Screens are lists of companies that met fixed, mechanical rules on the day they ran, on third-party data. Being on a screen is not a recommendation, rating or view of a company, and the rules take no account of whether it suits you.
- Analyst ratings, price targets and estimates are third parties' opinions, shown as reported. Plootra does not make, check or endorse them.
- Dates and times of events, such as earnings reports, economic releases and listings, come from third parties and can change.
- Links to news, filings and other sites lead to content we don't control and aren't responsible for.
- If you connect an AI assistant of your own, what it tells you and what it does with your figures are its provider's, under their terms. We are responsible only for the figures we send it.
7. Your content
What you add to Plootra stays yours. You allow us to store and process it only to run the service for you. You can download each portfolio's transactions at any time. Reports you download and charts you share show your figures; who sees them after that is up to you.
8. Plootra's content
Plootra's software, design and text, and the market data, screens and briefings in it, belong to us or to those we license them from. You may use them for your own, non-commercial investing while your account is open. Don't republish or redistribute them, or use them in a product or service of your own.
9. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- use Plootra for anything unlawful;
- copy, scrape or resell its data, or access it by automated means beyond ordinary use;
- probe, attack or try to get around its security or its plan limits;
- reverse-engineer it, or interfere with other people's use of it.
10. The service
We work to keep Plootra available and correct, but we may change, pause or end features. Where a change matters to you, we will tell you in advance when we can.
11. Ending
You can stop using Plootra at any time, and delete your account yourself in Settings › Account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
12. Liability
Plootra is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for investment losses or for decisions made using the service, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.
13. Changes to these terms
We will tell you before a change takes effect. If you keep using Plootra after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can close your account.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Luxembourg, and its courts hear any dispute. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
